Frequently asked questions
Is DESCALER PRO suitable for shower cabins?
Yes. The product is suitable for removing limescale deposits, water marks and soap residue from shower screens, glass, plastic, faucets, shower trays and other acid-resistant surfaces.
Can faucets and chrome-plated surfaces be cleaned with it?
Yes, if the surface is not damaged and is resistant to acidic cleaners. Spray the product for a short time, do not allow it to dry and rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.
Can it be used on tiles?
Yes, if the tiles are glazed and resistant to acidic cleaners. Do not use on unglazed, porous, cement-based, concrete or acid-sensitive tiles.
Can tile joints be cleaned with it?
Limescale and soap residue can be cleaned from acid-resistant tile joints. On old, crumbling, damaged or cement-based joints, first test on a small area and do not leave the product on for too long.
Can it be used on shower cabin seals and gaps?
Yes, if limescale or soap residue has built up there. If possible, gently lift the seals, spray the product, leave briefly, clean and rinse thoroughly with water. First test on a small, inconspicuous area.
Why did white streaks remain on the shower glass after cleaning with DESCALER PRO?
White streaks usually appear when dissolved limescale, mineral residue, soap residue or water salts have not been fully rinsed off the glass. DESCALER PRO dissolves limescale deposits, but after cleaning the surface must be rinsed thoroughly with water and dried. If the product or water is left to dry naturally on the glass, mineral residue may settle again as white streaks or a dull film.
How can white streaks be removed after using a limescale remover?
First, rinse the glass generously with warm water to remove cleaner residue and dissolved mineral residue. Then wipe the surface with a damp microfiber cloth. If a soap or grease film remains on the glass, after thorough rinsing you can use warm water with a drop of dishwashing liquid or a mild universal cleaner. Finally, the glass must be dried with a microfiber cloth or the water residue removed with a shower squeegee.
What should I do if white streaks still remain?
On dry glass, spray a very thin layer of DESCALER PRO, spread it with a sponge or microfiber cloth and leave it briefly – about 1 minute. Do not allow the product to dry. Then wipe thoroughly with a damp microfiber cloth, rinse well with warm water and dry immediately. If the water in your home is very hard or water softening filters are used, mineral or salt traces may remain on the glass, so drying after cleaning is especially important.
How can white streaks be prevented in the future?
After using the shower, it is recommended to remove water from the glass with a squeegee or dry it with a microfiber cloth. For light maintenance cleaning, DESCALER PRO can be used regularly, preventing limescale from building up into a thick layer. After complete cleaning, a hydrophobic glass nano coating can be applied to completely clean and dry glass – it helps water run off the surface more easily and makes later maintenance easier.
Can it be used on natural stone?
No. Do not use on marble, travertine, limestone, concrete, cement, terrazzo, unglazed tiles or other acid-sensitive or porous surfaces.
Can it be used on granite?
Granite and its protective coatings may be sensitive to acidic cleaners, so the safest option is not to use this product on granite. If the surface is specially acid-resistant, first test on a small, inconspicuous area.
Can it be used on plastic?
It can be used on plastic that is resistant to acidic cleaners. On older, matt, damaged, painted or specially coated plastic, first test on a small, inconspicuous area and do not allow the product to dry.
Can a shower head be cleaned with it?
Yes, if the shower head surface is resistant to acidic cleaners. Spray or apply the product onto areas covered with limescale, leave briefly, clean and rinse very thoroughly with water.
Can it be used to descale household appliances?
Only on acid-resistant parts that can be cleaned in this way. For household appliances, it is always important to follow the care instructions for the specific appliance and not spray the product into electronic, heating or ventilation areas.
Can it be used to descale a coffee machine or kettle?
This product is primarily designed for surface cleaning. Use it for coffee machines, kettles or internal appliance descaling only if the appliance instructions allow this type of product and the appliance can be rinsed extremely thoroughly with water after cleaning.
How long should it be left on the surface?
For lighter deposits, 2–5 minutes is usually enough. Stubborn limescale may require longer contact or repeated cleaning, but do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
Does it need to be diluted with water?
No, DESCALER PRO is ready to use. Spray sparingly, allow the product to act and rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.
Can it be mixed with bleach or chlorine-containing products?
No. Do not mix with chlorine-containing products or other cleaners.
How is DESCALER PRO different from the bathroom nano cleaner?
DESCALER PRO is designed to remove limescale deposits, water marks and soap residue. Active Bathroom Nano Cleaner is better suited for daily bathroom surface maintenance when there are no heavy limescale deposits.
How is DESCALER PRO different from DEGREASER?
DESCALER PRO is designed for limescale, water marks and soap residue. DEGREASER is designed for grease, burnt-on residue, soot and baked-on organic dirt. If the problem is white mineral marks – choose DESCALER PRO. If the problem is grease or burnt-on dirt – choose DEGREASER.
